The Project
RD Miller Specialised Earthworks is a leading construction company that specialises in earthworks, site preparation and civil construction projects. The company was contracted to construct the Adaminaby Sewerage Treatment Plant in New South Wales and in turn reached out to Polyfabrics to supply the product needed for this project.
The Challenge
The design called for a large quantity of GCCM that would normally need a 3 month lead-time to import rolls from Europe.
Our Solution
The Adaminaby Sewerage Treatment Plant project was completed successfully, thanks to the efficient supply and delivery of MastaTEX Concrete on a roll (GCCM) and installation frame from Polyfabrics. The use of MastaTEX Concrete provided a fast and cheaper alternative to conventional materials, with strict quality control of raw materials ensuring the finished product was fail-proof. More about MastaTEX® Concrete
MastaTEX® Concrete is a needle-punched composite consisting of concrete-sand mix embedded and fixed between two layers of geo-textile. The fabric is fastened to an outer part with nails, providing a solid water-resistant surface stabilisation, further braced thanks to internal reinforcing fibres. The product is much faster and cheaper to install than conventional materials, and strict quality control of raw materials makes the finished product fail-proof. MastaTEX Concrete provides a substrate for direct applications of a thin protective layer of regular concrete, which may be used in various weather conditions.
