The Challenges
The proposed design included construction of over 150,000m2 of cement-stabilized subgrade. This conventional method would have resulted in significant costs and time. The size of the proposed works would have made in difficult to find sufficient specialist machinery and labour to complete the works on time and on budget. However, the client recognised the drawbacks and sought a faster and more economical solution using Biaxial Geogrid.
