Project Overview
Moorebank Logistics Park is a nationally significant infrastructure development that will transform the way containerised freight moves through Port Botany. Part of the civil package awarded to Fulton Hogan was to construct the Stormwater Bio-Retention Basin which required a continuous HDPE Liner system.
Key Challenges
The project (Sydney Intermodal Terminal) programme had required the supply of more than 4000 square meters of Polyfabrics’ TerraStop Tarpee Liner at a very short timeframe of 2 weeks from placing the order to finishing the installation. The liner works had become critical especially as it needed a change from original design of conforming 2mm HDPE liner to TerraStop Tarpee liner.
The Solution
Polyfabrics worked closely with the customers project team, understanding their requirements and offering the exceptional service in providing technical data, quantity take-offs, pricing and planning for manufacturing.
Works started on pre-fabricating the 5 large sheets of liners straight after receiving the order, with finished sheets getting delivered and installed during the 2 weeks duration. Training to internal Fulton Hogan staff was offered by Polyfabrics’ to ensure the smooth installation happened throughout the process. There was no site welding required, no specialised machines involved.
The Outcome
Mission was accomplished on time with Polyfabrics delivering quality products and services with top coordination between different parties involved. Customer was pleased to have met the project programme and quality assurance.
