Sydney Motorsport Park is owned by the NSW Government and operated by the Australian Racing Drivers’ Club. It is Sydney’s only permanent racetrack, and one of just two permanent race circuit in Australia that hold a FIA/FIM Grade 2 International Licence.
The Challenge
The requirement was to upgrade Sydney’s iconic motorsport circuit, which was initially constructed for the Australian round of the Grand Prix Motorcycle championship. The primary concern was to develop a surface that could withstand racing conditions and minimise cracking.
Our Solution
After thorough analysis and collaborative discussions with the contractor, Polyfabrics proposed a solution tailored to meet the specific demands of the motorsport circuit. The chosen product was Flexiseal HD Reinforced bituminous tape, a self-adhesive membrane known for its high performance in similar conditions.
