Description
mastaTEX® (PET) Non-Woven PF34 – 6m is a non-woven needle-punched geotextile made from polyester, providing separation, filtration, protection or reinforcement functions in engineering projects. It enhances the performance and design life of granular layers by providing the filtration and separation functions.
mastaTEX® provides specific advice and recommendations in construction through specialist laboratories and technical support.
mastaTEX® F Range is manufactured in accordance to ISO 9001:2008.
Benefits
Cost-Effective: mastaTEX® is often the most cost effective solution to engineering problems including cracked roads, weak soil, liquid and gas leaks from landfill sites
UV-resistant: the natural UV resistance of polyester ensures the material can withstand the harsh Australian environment
Superior Technical Performance: mastaTEX® F range nonwoven geotextiles provide superior technical performance. Due to high levels of elongation, the product will adapt to unforeseeable deformations within the sub-base reducing the risk of damage during installation.
Polyfabrics can provide specific technical advice and recommendations for mastaTEX® F usage in construction.
Prevents intermixing of granular materials & soils
mastaTEX® F Range geotextiles provide an effective solution when constructing a stable granular layer over soft foundation soils. When stone is placed directly on a soft subgrade, the imposed load often causes intermixing of two layers. This results in contamination of the stone layer and a resulting loss in bearing strength, surface rutting and deformation at the sub-base/subgrade interface.
Prevents the ingress of fines into drainage media
Whether it’s a granular drain or a Geosynthetic alternative such as an open TerraDrain unit, mastaTEX® F Range are ideal for preventing the ingress of fines.
Coastal & Waterway engineering
The hydraulic and filtration properties of the mastaTEX® F range geotextiles make them highly effective in replacing traditional filter layers. The polyester fibre enables the geotextile material to sink underwater, making it easier to install and place on the water bed.
